Today felt like a good day...

FTP now has KO super turbo MTTs where the blind go up every 5 minutes, and everyone starts with 300 chips. I played in 2 earlier today, a $6.50 and a $15. The small one didn't go well. But in the $15 one I ran pretty hot and had 9 KOs, and got about 50th out of 750 players. They go very quick, which is nice, but is mostly a luck fest. However, I am guessing most people in them don't have enough patience which makes them dead money.

I was able to get a good cash session in earlier. My internet connection actually worked great with no problems for almost 2 hours. I played 1526 hands and won $92. Cards weren't great, pretty much won everything on one hand where this guy played his set like a moron... and I got lucky on the turn.

As I was playing these cash games I played the fifty-fifty, the 28k, and the 6max KO. I didn't cash in any of them, but almost cashed in the fifty and the 28k. I feel like I am playing really well, just a matter of time before I final table a big tournament. I had one bluff in the 28k that I wish I didn't try, but my game feels ready for the $330 live tourny I'm gonna play on Sunday. And then the circuit events I'm gonna try to play at Harrah's the following week. Obviously there is a lot of variance in tournament poker, but in these live tournies I think I have a huge skill edge over the field. Jimmy said he just re-read Gus Hansen's book, which I think is a good idea and I plan to do the same next week.

Overall I only came out even on the day, with my tournament entries, but it still felt like a good day where I played really well. I think good things are in the near future.
