Played a few tournaments and few satelites this afternoon. Kind of player poor in a few, and took some bad beats. But put together a nice run in the 20k. Wasn't running great, but winning enough to keep building my stack, and was sitting nicely with 63 left when we went into the money. Took a few hits but was still sitting ok. I had made some good reads and 3bets when I thought people were weak, and was doing a good job of staying afloat. Then this hand happened...

Screwed, this tournament had a completely different feel from the one last night. This tournament I felt very in control, and never had to suckout on anyone... unlike last night. I did come back from this but eventually got 26th. I've been learning from my mistakes, but this one I felt like I just played near perfect. Bummer when it's not good enough.

Played about 3 hours of 8-10 tables of cash this afternoon while playing tournaments. 2396 hands, profit of $76. Took some retarded beat against a short stack, and a limp reraised a guy with AA, and he flopped a set with 22 to stack me. But overall the tables were great and after dinner I am gonna grind some more.

Probably play a couple of tournaments tonight and see if I can make a deep run and finish the job. All these close calls are brutal, but when I get first place soon and ship me like 7k I will feel much better.
