Loooong Monday

Slept in this morning. I did play a pretty good session of NL100, where I was +160$ in about an hour. Haven't had a losing session yet which is awesome. Hung out with the girlfriend's family tonight. Her younger cousins are really crazy, and I found out I don't really like playing games with them. Because they think its really funny to not follow the rules in some games. Or in other 2 player games, the ones who are not playing but are watching, just love to sit there and tell you what to do. Which is very annoying and hanging out with them drained the energy out of me. However it was nice to hang out with my girlfriend before I go back to school tomorrow.

After that I went over to my friend's house to play a home game. These were some guys from church who I knew weren't very good at poker. The buyin was 5$ and somehow the decision was made to only raise the blinds when someone got knocked out. With the blinds starting very small, I saw every single flop for most of the night. It was up and down and I ended up getting 2nd place, and got my 5$ back. However it was one of the longest, more frustrating games I've played it. It is one thing when people don't completely know how to play, I can work with that, but when you have to tell a person its their turn... everytime its their turn, that's just stupid. Was the slowest game ever, mostly just because people weren't paying attention. Got home late, and I probably won't play with them again just because of how frustrating it was for me, a person who is always paying attention to where the action is on every hand, and I ended up feeling like I was babysitting them. Next time I'll probably just go hang out, and not play.

It was a good weekend, but I am very tired and have to go to class tomorrow. Good news was that Chick's was having a big liquidation sale this weekend, I went and bought new snowboard bindings and books for 40% off. Hopefully these new boots don't tear up my heel like my last ones did. This weekend I'm going snowboarding and it should be awesome because the mountain should be getting fresh snow right now. My birthday is on Wednesday, so hopefully I will have a good week. HOPEFULLY I will find the time to play some tournaments this week.
