Just finished up my night session. Everything went smoothly, the tables weren't super donkey, but I definitely found some big ones. 1496 hands, 13 tabling for 105 minutes. Finished with +$277 profit, making up for my session earlier (which was about -250, because after I lost 200 grinding, I sat in a HU match and ran into a calling station when I wasn't hitting any hands... after he won 50$ he ran like a pansy). Not alot of huge hands, was mostly a gradual climb. People weren't too willing to pay me off on my monsters, but I managed to get alot of flop and turn bets out of people. One hand near the very end of my session was a nice gift, but I had to provoke it...

I generally check these kinds of flops HU for obvious reasons that he likely didnt connect. When he raised me on the turn I could have reraised to make him pay for a draw, but I didn't really think he had anything. When the draw came on the river I was happy, so that if he did have a flush draw on the turn he would bet it. Also, if he was on a bluff he would hopefully continue. Betting out the river doesn't really help me in either situation. I was very pleased to see him shove and I couldn't call fast enough.

I played for almost 2 hours, durring the "2x full tilt points happy hour" from 8-10pm. This generally is a time where there are alot of fish out, but also a good amount of grinders so I have to be careful with my table selection. I was happy to make up for my earlier losses, and not fall into a dreaded downswing. Just 2 more days to qualify for Iron Man, then hopefully I can have a big weekend.
