Played two cash sessions today. I feel kinda bummed over the results, although I played pretty well. During the first session, I also played the 22$ turbo, where I was cruising. About 150 players, and we were down to 3 tables. Then proceeded to lose 3 races in a row (AK to JJ, 77 to QJ, A5 to K4) to take 19th when top 15 paid. Oh well, guess I need to learn how to run better.
First cash session was 1014 hands, and I lost $90. Ran pretty crappy in general. Lost a stack when a guy played his KK super strange and I couldn't get away from JJ. Although at the same time i got AA in v AK preflop for full stack, so those evened out. But flopping top two with AQ and losing to AA sucked. Just lame session overall, oh well.
2nd session played 1372 hand and won $118. Had a pretty good start to the session, with some nice donations, but in the middle of the session things turned to crap. The allin ev doesnt reflect it, but had alot of bad turns and rivers. For instance, the c/o open limps, I raise to 4$ from the BB with KK, he calls, flop Q97 twodiamonds, I bet 7.50, he calls, turn 8, i bet 13, he calls, river brick, I check, he bets 20, I call and he shows me the 88 weeeee. Stuff like that was killin me. However I did get KK at the very end of the session and the flop was K53 rainbow, and two nits had called me. I bet the flop pretty much knowing if I got called, they had a set. One guy called, and I kept betting strong... hitting quads on the river, and guy had 33, weee for me. So kind bummed about the session overall, but that's poker, what can you do... I'll take the win for the day.
I am tutoring in about an hour, then might try to play a bit tonight... we will see.
